Delhi Public School Vadodara believes that education extends beyond the classroom. The system promotes belonging, camaraderie, discipline, teamwork, and healthy competition. Each House is led by a House Captain and Vice Captain, supported by Prefects and guided by a House Warden. Students earn points throughout the year for participation and performance in academics, competitions, sports, cultural activities, and other initiatives. The system encourages leadership, cooperation, perseverance, accountability, and sportsmanship while allowing students with varied talents to contribute to their House.
Games and sports form an important part of the school's holistic approach. Students participate in both indoor and outdoor activities, developing physical fitness, mental resilience, discipline, concentration, confidence, and teamwork. The school has achieved recognition in football, swimming, basketball, and athletics at district, state, and national levels. Regular training and participation teach students to set goals, overcome challenges, respond positively to success and failure, and appreciate the value of sustained effort. The Theatre and Dramatics Club provides an engaging platform for students to explore performing arts and develop communication, creativity, and interpersonal skills. Through role plays, dramatic performances, improvisations, mono-acts, skits, and theatrical productions, students experiment with characters, emotions, situations, and narratives. They learn to interpret scripts, develop dialogues, understand different perspectives, and transform written ideas into performances.
Theatre also strengthens public speaking and communication skills. Students develop voice modulation, pronunciation, diction, facial expressions, gestures, body language, stage presence, and audience engagement. Regular performances help reduce stage fright and hesitation while building confidence, clarity, and conviction.
